Last Sunday, we picked one of many rainy days in the last weeks to find shelter at the Ottawa Veg Fest. It was the 8th edition of the event and we were very excited to go.
The RA center’s seams were ripping because of the big crowd. Which is both, good and bad. It is great to see that many people interested in a healthier, compassionate lifestyle, but it was a bit harder to enjoy and really get the most out of what the fest had to offer.
The cooking demos were in the same room as all the exhibitors, it was loud and a bit harder to hear what they were saying. Luckily, the presentation stage was in a separate room, where the air was not as hot and stale.
All in all, we had a good time, it is free (admission by donation), tasty food, likeminded, compassionate humans, interesting presentations,… So big thanks to the organizers for putting up this event. We will attend again next time if we are in the area.
